Gender equality

Our workforce: Strong and diverse

We are quite proud of how colourful our team is. From trainees to long-standing colleagues – all age groups work hand in hand at our company. And because good jobs are not a question of gender, we make sure that everyone feels comfortable with us. Diversity makes us stronger, more motivated – and ultimately, more satisfied.

All key figures shown apply to the year 2024.

Work and family – a perfect match for us

If you have a family, you need flexibility. This is exactly what we make possible at JACOB – with flexitime models that are geared towards real life, with individual solutions for special situations and with a culture that not only accepts family, but welcomes it. Whether it's a paediatrician's appointment, parental leave, returning to work or caring for a relative – together we find a way for our employees to reconcile work and private life. For this commitment, we were honoured as a "Family-Friendly Company in the Minden-Lübbecke District". This is not only a nice confirmation, but also an incentive to keep at it, implement new ideas and further develop family friendliness at JACOB.

Fair pay

Performance deserves to be recognised – fairly and transparently. The decisive factor for us is the job, not the person. Our standardised remuneration system ensures that all employees are paid fairly – regardless of gender, age or origin. Each position is clearly described and categorised so that remuneration remains comprehensible and comparable.

For special qualifications or management tasks, payment can also exceed the collectively agreed standards – based on objective criteria, of course. Because what counts for us is what someone can do and contribute. Not how loudly someone negotiates..

"What counts for us is performance, not gender."

Woman power at JACOB

The best way to find out how our female employees experience their day-to-day work is to hear it straight from them.

My doubts as to whether I could really hold my own in a male-dominated industry quickly vanished into thin air at JACOB. My perspective is valued here and I can really make a difference. What is particularly important to me is that we treat each other with openness, respect and genuine team spirit.

Verena Schultz:
she and her team are the "guardians of delivery performance" at JACOB

Working in a male-dominated environment can be challenging – but it doesn't have to be. At JACOB, I am treated as an equal, receive support and feel truly valued.

Lisa-Marie Bratschke
leads the marketing team with vision and passion

As a mother, I know how important clear priorities and good organisation are. In the company, I manage my own projects, take responsibility and contribute my ideas. The fact that I get a lot of appreciation for this shows me: at JACOB, performance is not measured by hours worked, but by impact and attitude. That motivates me every day anew.
